I’m Christy and I am so glad we can connect.

In my 20 year career, I managed retail stores, day camps, competitive cheerleading events and a flight school. I founded a nonprofit, managed state and federal funds, and most recently was the director of operations for state government.

Of the last 3 small businesses I worked with, all 3 celebrated revenue increases between 50% and 250%! Creating systems, standard operating procedures, staff restructuring, and implementing action plans helped prepare for the incredible growth. Strategic planning ensured that as revenue grew, the companies had the resources to handle and sustain the growth.

I did this successfully because I am relentlessly curious and my skills are not industry specific. I empower change-making leaders to take strategic action that transforms lives.

Getting to know you and your business is what I do. I evaluate your mission, vision, and values. I assess your business challenges and understand how you spend your working day. If you have employees, I get to know them too. I look at how your business operates and create action plans to improve your business operations. Together, we implement the plans. Then we celebrate. Because when we check off the last task on the action plan, you will see an increase in profits, feel the huge weight lift from your shoulders, and have more time to do what you love.

In my personal life, I am frequently called “Mom”, “Mommy Michele”, and “Posey”. I also proudly own my titles of business owner, wife, friend, and volunteer. At work, I am commonly referred to as a thought partner, number cruncher, strategizer (strategist), analyzer, and storyteller.

I have a passion for serving my community. When my youngest son received his autism diagnosis, I founded Kinera Foundation, a nonprofit that enhances the quality of life for children with special healthcare needs and their families across the lifespan. I wanted to make sure that families like mine have access to the resources and services they need within the region they live. I am so proud that Kinera is still serving local families today.

Starting a nonprofit is hard but rewarding work. It was through that process that I discovered my love for networking and connecting people to one another, finding innovative solutions to complex problems, and sharing lessons learned and success stories.

I have always been passionate about being present for the big and small moments in my children’s lives. We began homeschooling in 2017, and enjoy the freedom of experiential learning. As a small business owner, homeschooling mom, and nonprofit volunteer, I am an avid fan of lists and color coding to help me stay organized.

When I have free time, you will find me with a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other. Last year I challenged myself to read 1 book a month, and I crushed that goal! I ended the year reading an average of 1 book per week.
