Budget Basics Workshop
Learn how to create budget projections, build your budget, and evaluate your performance in just 4 days!
I worked with many business owners in the last 20 years, and each and everyone of them failed to put together a budget before they even launched their website. Did you just wince a bit? Did you just think, “it’s me… I didn’t put together a budget either!”
I know, for people who are passionate about what they know and want to share their passion with the world, budgeting feels like the homework assignment everyone groans about. BUT this is one step of your passion to action journey that you don’t want to skip. Let’s talk about how to get your budget started when you don’t know where to begin.
Life as a small business owner is busy. To get the maximum impact and give you the flexibility to learn at your own pace, this is a hybrid workshop. That means that you will receive 4 pre-recorded video lessons and worksheet(s) to complete prior to the live classes on Zoom.
Over 4 Wednesdays, beginning June 7, 2023, you will learn common budget terms and how to:
- Complete a time study to understand how you spend your non-billable hours.
- Calculate your actual hourly rate.
- Calculate your overhead percentage.
- Build your budget to track monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue and expenses.
- Set financial goals that are aligned with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). KPIs are specific metrics that you monitor to help you achieve your goals.
- Create budget projections. This is an informed estimate of your yearly budget that includes your financial goals and tracks your Key Performance Indicators.
- Monitor and evaluate your budget to maximize your profits!
When you finish this workshop, you will have a yearly budget and projections, with the first quarter completed. You will know how to create and monitor your budget and make informed adjustments to support your business’ financial stability. You will have the resources, tools, and training to develop your budget projections for years to come.
This workshop is $135/person. Live classes are held by Zoom on Wednesdays, from 7:00pm – 7:30pm EST. Classes begin June 7, 2023 and end June 28, 2023. Included in the class fee is a budget template.
